Built by players who did the math

GoVideoPoker.net was founded in 2007 by video poker enthusiasts who were tired of strategy advice recycled from other strategy advice — charts that quietly contradicted each other, pay-table explanations that stopped at 'it's better.' Video poker is one of the few casino games where the mathematics is public, published, and checkable. We built the site that treats it that way: every chart and every pay table here is hand-verified against the published math.

What the site offers

Everything is free to use, and built for one goal — the right play becoming instinct:

  • Pay-table library: game variants and their returns documented clearly, including which versions are full-pay and how to recognize the difference before you sit down.
  • Strategy charts: mathematically correct hold-and-draw decisions for the major games, presented in the order that makes them learnable.
  • Browser trainer: drill hands against the chart, with mistakes explained — why the play you made costs money over the long run.
  • Casino locator: where full-pay machines have been reported, maintained as community intelligence with dates.

Our honesty policy

We say the unpopular things plainly: optimal play narrows the house edge on the best machines and cannot erase it; no system beats the math; and 'hot machine' thinking is just pattern-seeking with worse odds. The trainer is practice, not a promise of profit.

Play sensibly

Video poker is entertainment with real money attached, for adults of legal age. Set a session budget, treat it as the cost of the game, and stop when it stops being fun — the discipline the trainer teaches applies to bankrolls too.

Learn the math, drill the hands, sit down knowing exactly what you are playing. GoVideoPoker.net has been the serious player's free reference since 2007.
